Simple Saturday: Cucumber Gin & Tonic

cucumber g&t

Hello out there!

Did you miss me over the past week? I sure missed you guys and blogging.

I don’t know if you noticed, but I took a little hiatus in the midst of switching my blog from wordpress.com to .org, and I am now officially self-hosting this blog.

Although that may not sound like that big of a deal to some of you, it’s been a long and sometimes tear-filled process for me. But alas, I have conquered the Internet/blogging, if only for a few days!

I hope you’ll find the new look of the blog a little more simple and easy to jump right in to the posts. Don’t worry- there are still lots of recipes and food talk in your future on the think fruitful blog…and maybe even more fun things!

After a week of phone calls to BlueHost (my hosting site) and praying things would work and dancing around the room when I figured things out, I thought it was appropriate that I share one of my favorite summer cocktails with you.

Cucumber G&T

This Cucumber G&T could not be easier to make and tastes so refreshing and perfect for summer!

I’m using my favorite canned sodas here because this soda is unlike any other! Dry sodas have a lot less sugar and real flavor (apple and vanilla are some of my faves). I get mine at Whole Foods.

All you have to do to make a Cucumber G&T is:

Combine 1 oz. of your favorite gin with a Cucumber Dry Soda and a large square ice cube (or several smaller ones if that’s all you have. We really like our ice cube try like this one.

If you want to make this one alcohol-free, just drink a Cucumber Dry Soda!

Enjoy! You’ve worked hard and deserve a little simple cocktail break.
