Shakshuka

Shakshuka

Have you noticed?

Is it happening near you?

Have the fall, cool winds come blowing in? Are the leaves crunching under your feet? Are you in the mood for tea and pumpkin bread? Oh- well, who isn’t?!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve really been craving warm, comfort foods, and I’ve been utilizing my cast iron skillet a lot to get me there.

Shakshuka

For the past six months or so, I’ve been dying to make shakshuka.

Have you heard of it? It’s an Israeli dish that is basically eggs poached in a tomato sauce that’s a little bit spicy.

It’s also really simple to make (thanks to Smitten Kitchen’s easy recipe) and is perfect served with some pita or bread to sop up the extra sauce. Oh, and you’ll definitely want to top it with some feta crumbles. Yum!

Also, thanks for letting me get to know a few of you on Monday. Feel free to keep leaving your comments there or on any future post!
