2015 Food Resolutions

happy new year

Happy 2015 everyone!

I can’t believe it’s time for another food resolution post.

Do you remember the one from last year?

I achieved most of my resolutions (like making shakshuka, hosting more people and interacting with other bloggers), but I have to say that I’ll carry a few over.

Well, here’s this year’s list. I hope you’re as excited as I am!

1. Make a roast chicken

I feel embarrassed to say it out loud on the internet, but I’ve never made a whole chicken. Never cooked with a whole bird! This year, I would love to master the art of the roasted chicken, and I’ve been saving some wonderful recipes so I can do just that.

2. Make a roast

I have also never made a Sunday pot roast and would love to try it out. My mom is the queen of the pot roast with tender meat alongside perfectly cooked earthy carrots and potatoes. I probably won’t be at her level anytime soon, but I would like to try this classic meal.

3. Improve my food photography skills

I think this has been on my food resolutions list every year, and I hope to always be improving my photo skills. Although I didn’t get a fancy camera in 2014, it might happen in 2015 (we’ll see how the budgets go). Either way, my parents graciously gifted me a membership to Food Photography School for Christmas, so I’ll be studying up in the days to come.

4. Host more

This is also a carry over from last year. This year, I would really love to make it a goal to host someone new for a meal each month. Do you think I can do it? I would really like to try! I’ll let you know how it goes.

5. Hang out with other bloggers

It was a treat to get to meet new bloggers (especially here in NC) this past year, and this new year I would like to make it a goal to actually hang out with some other bloggers and make new friends. So, who wants to get some drinks and eats together?

I hope it’s a wonderful start to this fresh New Year for all of you!
