My Top Trader Joe’s Wines

Guys, the holidays are almost here!

Can we all just take a deep breath then do a little excited squeal together?

I am anticipating some really great times coming up in the next month. We’ll be heading back to Arkansas to party with the in-laws, and I’m so ready to get some relaxing, eating and board gaming in! Who’s with me?

As I’m thinking about the upcoming season with all of its dinner parties, I’m also thinking about staying on a budget but still having a great time.

And I know that many of us are looking for libations for our celebrations (see what I did there?).

So, in the spirit of budget-friendly wines, let’s take a tour of my favorite cheap Trader Joe’s picks. Any of these would make a great drink to share with your guests.

La Granja 360– $5 or less

Look for this wine with a pig, chicken or zebra on the cover, and you’ll be pleased to find a tasty and versatile Spanish red wine. From the tempranillo to the syrah/grenache mix, these wines have a nice, full-bodied taste with dark berry and jammy flavors.

Vinas Chilenas Reserva Sauvignon Blanc– $4

If you’re going to be eating any spicy food or wanting a white wine with some versatile fruity flavors, this Sauvignon Blanc is a nice pick. You can’t beat the price, and the flavors of the Chilean terroir is a nice change from the Sauvignon Blancs of New Zealand and other areas.

Espiral Vinho Verde– $5 or less

So, this might be a summer wine, but I really think it’s one that is great for entertaining any time of the year. This vinho verde is earthy, sweet and bubbly, making for a perfect party starter.

No matter if you know your guests wine preferences or not, these few cheap options can help you have a nice variety without hurting your budget. And if all else fails, you can always make some Carolina Apple Sidecars to get the party going!

Do you have any other favorite wines at Trader Joe’s?

Happy almost holidays!
